A new unprecedented dental insurance program for retired NFL players began earlier this month. This is the initial health & welfare benefit agreed to by a PFRPA board of retired players chaired by Hall of Famer Jim Brown. This PFRPA  group was created after the NFL settled a class action lawsuit for $50 million with retired players in 2013 over the NFL Films use of alumni images and likenesses.

Eligible vested and non-vested players may benefit from this first-ever dental coverage. This benefit is free and will be provided to alumni for at least as long as the settlement terms exist.

If you have questions regarding this new dental coverage, we encourage you to call the MetLife Service Center at 855-497-6675.
